Solid Brass Gallery Rail & Shelf Railing Hardware
Brass Gallery Rail is a specialist shop built around one product: modular shelf rail in solid brass. You choose the posts, choose the rods and build a rail that fits your shelf to the inch – for open kitchen shelving, bookcases, bar carts, mantels and display cabinets.
Choose Your Finish
Pick raw natural brass that slowly develops a warm patina, or a finished look in brushed nickel, matte black or copper. Every finish uses the same 1/4" (6 mm) rod and 1.85" (47 mm) post, so you can combine finishes or extend a rail later.
How a Rail Is Put Together
End posts start and finish each run, corner posts turn the rail around the sides of a shelf, and through posts support the rod in the middle – plan one every 12 to 16 inches, closer if the shelf will hold heavy bottles or books. Rods come in lengths from 6" to 38" and can be trimmed with a fine-tooth hacksaw. Not sure what to order? The gallery rail planner lists the parts for six common shelf layouts, and the installation video shows the whole job on a real shelf.
Matching Hardware for the Whole Room
The same workshop makes wall-mounted brass kitchen rails plus cabinet knobs and drawer edge guards, so your shelves, cabinets and walls can share one finish.
Who Makes It
Every part is machined and finished by IGO METAL CRAFT LLC, a brass and metal hardware manufacturer with its office in Albuquerque, New Mexico and production in its own workshop in Turkey. Questions about sizing or trade orders? Get in touch.
